BJP Leader CT Ravi Alleges Misappropriation of SC-ST Funds, Calls for CM’s Resignation

Date:

In a fervent accusation, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader CT Ravi has leveled serious allegations against the Congress party, claiming misappropriation of funds earmarked for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (SC-ST) and their alleged diversion towards election expenses in Karnataka and Telangana. Ravi’s statements come amidst a growing outcry within the BJP, prompting a protest in Bengaluru demanding the resignation of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

Addressing the media, CT Ravi asserted, “Congress has looted money from SC-ST and used that money for the elections in Karnataka and Telangana. We are protesting against that.” The BJP leader’s remarks underscored allegations of financial misconduct and misuse of public funds intended for the welfare of marginalized communities.

Ravi emphasized the demand for Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s resignation in light of these allegations, calling for accountability and transparency in governance. The protest organized by BJP leaders aims to highlight these issues and press for ethical governance practices within the state administration.

The allegations have sparked a political firestorm, with opposition parties accusing the ruling Congress of compromising the interests of SC-ST communities for electoral gains. The BJP’s protest in Bengaluru signifies escalating tensions and political maneuvering ahead of upcoming state elections.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s office has not yet responded to the allegations made by CT Ravi. The situation remains fluid as political parties brace for heightened scrutiny and public discourse over the alleged financial irregularities.
