Karnataka BJP President BY Vijayendra Calls for CM Siddaramaiah’s Resignation

Date:

Karnataka BJP President BY Vijayendra has intensified the political discourse by demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah following the Governor’s sanction for prosecution in a high-profile case. Vijayendra’s remarks come amid escalating tensions between the BJP and the ruling Congress party.

Addressing reporters, Vijayendra criticized both Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Karnataka Congress leader DK Shivakumar, accusing them of engaging in blackmail tactics. “As the Governor has ordered prosecution, we demand the resignation of CM Siddaramaiah,” Vijayendra declared. He emphasized that the BJP would not be intimidated by what he described as attempts at coercion by the Congress leadership.

The controversy has been brewing for over three months, with the BJP alleging corruption and mismanagement under the current administration. Vijayendra accused Siddaramaiah and the Congress of politicizing the issue after the Governor’s approval for prosecution. “Now that the Governor was convinced and sanction was accorded for prosecution, Congress and Siddaramaiah are making it a political issue,” he asserted.

Adding a sharp critique of Congress leadership, Vijayendra suggested that any expectation for Siddaramaiah’s resignation from Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was misplaced. He alleged that the funds involved in the controversy had already reached the Gandhi family, implying a direct link between the funds and Congress leadership.

The BJP’s demand for Siddaramaiah’s resignation adds to the ongoing political volatility in Karnataka. With both parties exchanging accusations, the situation underscores the deepening rift and highlights the high stakes involved in the state’s political arena.

As the debate continues, it remains to be seen how the situation will unfold and whether it will impact the political dynamics in Karnataka.
