BJP Leader CN Ashwath Narayan Condemns Karnataka Dy CM DK Shivakumar’s ‘Nuts and Bolts’ Remark

Date:

BJP leader Dr. CN Ashwath Narayan has strongly criticized Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar over his controversial ‘nuts and bolts’ remark, calling it a threatening statement unfit for a responsible government.

“As a responsible government, such a threatening statement by people in power is not right. The Congress government in Karnataka is threatening, ‘we know how to tighten your bolts and nuts’—what do you mean by that? This kind of threat is not fair and advisable,” Ashwath Narayan said.

His remarks come in response to Shivakumar’s comment, which has sparked outrage among opposition leaders and various sections of society. The BJP leader accused the Congress of using intimidation tactics against those who refuse to align with its political agenda.

“We condemn the statement by the Deputy CM… Ill-treating actors and the Kannada film industry, asking them to be part of the Congress campaign and their agenda—what kind of mindset does Congress have?” he questioned.

The BJP has alleged that the Congress is pressuring Kannada film industry figures to support its political initiatives, leading to concerns about political interference in the arts and entertainment sector.

With the controversy escalating, the Congress government has yet to clarify its stance, while the BJP continues to mount pressure, accusing the ruling party of resorting to coercive politics.

The war of words between the two parties is expected to intensify as Karnataka heads into a crucial political phase.
