BJP MLA CN Ashwath Narayan Slams Congress Over Greater Bengaluru Governance Bill, Vows Legal Action

Date:

BJP MLA Dr. CN Ashwath Narayan has strongly opposed the Greater Bengaluru Governance Bill, which was recently passed in the Karnataka Assembly. He accused the ruling Congress government of being politically motivated and attempting to divide Bengaluru for electoral gains.

“Congress is politically motivated. They want political gains by dividing Bengaluru. We will oppose this by various agitations and also take it up legally,” Ashwath Narayan stated, signaling BJP’s firm stance against the bill.

The bill, aimed at restructuring governance in the expanding metropolitan region, has sparked intense political debate. While Congress argues that the reforms will improve administration and public services, the opposition believes it is a strategic move to gain political control.

Ashwath Narayan further announced that BJP will approach the Governor, urging him to reject the bill. “We will request the Governor to reject this bill,” he added.

With Bengaluru being a crucial economic and political hub, any governance changes are bound to have significant implications. The BJP’s decision to challenge the bill through protests and legal channels indicates a prolonged political battle ahead.

As the state gears up for legal and political confrontations over the bill, all eyes will be on the Governor’s response and the next steps taken by both parties.
