BY Vijayendra Slams Congress, Defends Govt’s Stand on Operation Sindoor

Date:

Karnataka BJP President BY Vijayendra said that after the Pahalgam terror attack, the entire country wanted a strong and clear response against terrorist groups and the nations backing them. Speaking in Bengaluru on Operation Sindoor, Vijayendra said the Indian government has acted firmly and responsibly, ensuring that only terrorist targets were hit.

He dismissed Pakistan’s claims of civilian casualties, calling it “false propaganda,” and pointed out that the Indian government has already clarified that no Pakistani civilians were harmed in the operation. “The false propaganda by the Pakistan government is expected,” he said, stressing that the action was focused only on terror camps.

Vijayendra also responded sharply to a now-deleted tweet by the Karnataka Congress, which quoted Mahatma Gandhi on peace. He accused the Congress party of siding with anti-national sentiments and said, “Congress should be ashamed of itself. The Karnataka Congress has always had a soft corner for anti-national elements.”

He went on to demand an apology from former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for the tweet, calling it an insult to the armed forces and the families affected by terrorism. Vijayendra’s remarks reflect the growing political divide in Karnataka over national security issues and public reactions to the government’s counter-terror measures.
