Date:

New Delhi — Addressing the Annual General Meeting of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) at the World Air Transport Summit in New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized that India’s rapidly growing aviation sector is the result of sustained and forward-looking reforms.

He pointed to key initiatives such as Mission Manufacturing, enhanced aircraft leasing laws, and investment incentives like GIFT City, all of which aim to strengthen India’s aviation ecosystem and attract global investors.

“These reforms, along with streamlined regulations and progressive tax policies, are transforming India into a preferred destination for aviation investments,” PM Modi said.

India’s focus on infrastructure development, regulatory efficiency, and domestic manufacturing in the aviation sector comes at a time when the country is witnessing record air travel demand and expanding connectivity.
