Bengaluru, Karnataka — Former Karnataka Chief Minister and senior BJP leader BS Yediyurappa launched a scathing attack on the state government following explosive remarks by Congress MLA BR Patil regarding a major housing scam.
Addressing the media, Yediyurappa stated, “BR Patil has revealed many things about the housing scam. Even respected figures like Mohandas Pai have voiced their concerns about this government’s integrity. This is not just internal dissent—it reflects the public’s growing frustration.”
Yediyurappa announced his plan to tour one district every week to raise awareness among citizens about the alleged corruption and misgovernance. He emphasized that the Congress-led government lacks the moral authority to continue and accused it of betraying public trust.
“The fact that a sitting Congress MLA has exposed his own party’s scam shows how deep the rot is. Many are standing behind BR Patil, and their voices cannot be ignored,” he added.
The allegations and subsequent political reactions are expected to escalate tensions in the state, possibly impacting public sentiment ahead of upcoming civic elections.
