Bengaluru, Karnataka — Karnataka BJP President B.Y. Vijayendra has alleged growing discontent within the Congress party, claiming that several Congress MLAs are unhappy with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah due to the lack of development funds in their constituencies.
Commenting on the recent visit of Congress leader and Karnataka incharge Randeep Singh Surjewala, Vijayendra said, “Surjewala is repeatedly visiting Bengaluru to consult with MLAs. This indicates that Congress MLAs are totally upset with Siddaramaiah because they are not receiving funds for development.”
He further claimed that Siddaramaiah is rapidly losing popularity. “Today, Siddaramaiah has become very unpopular, and the government has failed on all fronts,” Vijayendra stated.
In a sharp political accusation, he added, “They are attempting to remove Siddaramaiah from the CM post and portray him as an OBC leader, so that he can be shifted to Delhi.”
The remarks come amid ongoing political speculation about internal rifts within the Congress in Karnataka, though the Congress party has not officially responded to the claims.
