SC Relief to CM Siddaramaiah’s Wife Not a Clean Chit, Says BJP’s C.T. Ravi

Date:

Bengaluru, Karnataka— After the Supreme Court dismissed the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) plea and granted relief to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s wife, Parvathi, in the MUDA land case, BJP leader C.T. Ravi clarified that the ruling does not equate to a clean chit.

“Only the ED inquiry has been stopped. No clean chit has been given,” Ravi said in a statement on Monday. He emphasized that the BJP’s allegations were rooted in corruption charges, not personal targeting.

“We made the allegations against her because of corruption, and not because she is the Chief Minister’s wife,” he added. Ravi further stressed that the Supreme Court’s decision should not be interpreted as an endorsement of power misuse. “The Supreme Court has not supported the misuse of power and authority,” he asserted.

The MUDA (Mysuru Urban Development Authority) land case has been politically sensitive in Karnataka, with the opposition BJP frequently raising concerns about alleged irregularities.

While the Supreme Court’s relief brings temporary legal respite for Parvathi Siddaramaiah, BJP leaders have made it clear that political and public scrutiny will continue.
