BJP MLA Janardhana Reddy Alleges Criminal Acts, Says Public Against Opponents

Date:

Bengaluru, Karnataka: Reacting to the recent clash in Ballari, BJP MLA G. Janardhana Reddy on Tuesday alleged that the incident was the result of frustration among his political opponents, claiming that the public stands firmly against them due to their lack of development work.

“The public saw the development work carried out by the BJP. They are not in a position to do even a small amount of work. So the public is totally against them. They are frustrated,” Reddy said.

Accusing his opponents of resorting to violence, the BJP MLA claimed that they adopted criminal methods instead of democratic means. “They chose the criminal way,” he alleged, questioning the motives behind the incident.

Reddy further raised concerns over the nature of the clash, asking why banners were put up near his residence and why armed individuals were brought to the area. “Why do you want to put the banners at my residence in front of my house, and why do you bring all the ‘goondas’ with the private gunman with petrol bombs and stones?” he asked.

Calling the incident unprecedented, Janardhana Reddy said such an event had never occurred in the state before. “This kind of incident has never happened in Karnataka before,” he added.

The Ballari clash has triggered political reactions across the state, with authorities investigating the incident and leaders calling for calm and strict action against those responsible.
