PM Modi Commends UP’s One District One Product Scheme

Date:

In a recent public gathering in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his appreciation for the state’s ‘One District One Product’ (ODOP) scheme. The scheme, spearheaded by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has made the task of selecting gifts for international visits significantly easier, according to the Prime Minister.

“Thanks to the One District One Product scheme of Yogi Ji, I no longer have to spend much time thinking about what gifts to take when I travel abroad,” PM Modi shared. “I simply visit the state website and select 5-6 items as gifts.”

The ODOP scheme is a novel initiative that aims to promote traditional industries that are unique to their respective districts. This not only stimulates the local economy but also creates job opportunities. Each district in Uttar Pradesh is known for a specific product that is produced in large quantities and has the potential for further growth.

PM Modi’s comments highlight the effectiveness of the ODOP scheme in promoting Uttar Pradesh’s rich and diverse cultural heritage on an international stage. His selection of gifts from these local industries for international dignitaries is a testament to his support for the scheme and its impact.

The Prime Minister’s endorsement of the ODOP scheme is expected to further inspire the artisans and small industries in Uttar Pradesh, contributing to the state’s economic progress and development.
