BJP leader CT Ravi has launched a scathing critique of the Congress government in Karnataka, attributing recent controversies and public anger to alleged corruption within the administration. His comments come in the wake of a BJP-led padyatra addressing alleged scams related to the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) and the Valmiki Corporation.
“The people are angry due to the corruption of the Congress government,” Ravi declared, emphasizing the BJP’s stance on corruption issues. He specifically referenced the tragic incidents involving PSI Parashuram and Inspector Thimmegowda, suggesting their suicides are linked to the prevailing corruption. “The reason for the suicide of PSI Parashuram and Inspector Thimmegowda is corruption,” he said, drawing a direct connection between the alleged administrative failures and the tragic outcomes.
Ravi further asserted that the BJP’s padyatra has garnered significant public support, reflecting widespread dissatisfaction with the Congress government. “The people are joining our padyatra as they are against the corruption of the Congress government,” he noted.
In a provocative statement regarding the political landscape, Ravi claimed, “Had the Vidhan Sabha elections conducted today, Congress will not even win 25 seats.” This assertion underscores his belief that the current political climate is highly unfavorable to the ruling party, influenced by ongoing allegations of corruption and public discontent.
