Prime Minister Modi Celebrates India’s Continued Growth and Stability at ET World Leaders Forum

Date:

At the ET World Leaders Forum on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted India’s ongoing economic success and political continuity as key outcomes of the recent elections. Modi’s address focused on the NDA government’s third consecutive term and the significant progress achieved under its leadership.

Modi noted that while many nations have sought political changes this year, India’s voters have opted for stability and growth, choosing to re-elect the NDA government for the third time. “In a year where many countries have experienced shifts in government, the people of India have made a historic decision. For the first time in 60 years, our government has been given a third consecutive term, reflecting the nation’s preference for continuity and stability,” Modi stated.

The Prime Minister highlighted India’s robust economic performance, contrasting it with global trends. “Over the last decade, while the global economy grew by 35 percent, India’s economy expanded by an impressive 90 percent. This demonstrates our commitment to sustained economic growth and our success in delivering on our promises,” Modi explained.

Modi also underscored the impact of his government’s reforms on the lives of ordinary citizens. “Our ‘Reform, Perform, Transform’ mantra has significantly improved the lives of millions. Despite global uncertainties and changes in other major countries, the Indian people have supported our vision for progress,” he added.

A significant part of Modi’s speech was dedicated to the progress made in poverty alleviation. He revealed that more than 250 million people have moved out of poverty in the past decade, contributing to the rise of a new middle class. “The scale and speed of this achievement are unprecedented. No other democratic society has seen such a transformation in its socio-economic landscape,” Modi asserted.

The Prime Minister emphasized the government’s focus on empowering the less privileged, including measures to address basic needs such as access to banking facilities. “In under 100 days of our third term, we have taken decisive steps to benefit the poor, women, youth, and farmers. Our commitment to these groups reflects our dedication to inclusive growth and development,” Modi stated.

Modi’s remarks at the ET World Leaders Forum highlighted India’s exceptional economic progress and the electorate’s endorsement of the current administration’s policies. His address reinforced the narrative of India as a stable and growing economy, standing out amidst global political and economic shifts.
