Karnataka Legislative Council LoP Chalavadi Narayanaswamy Criticizes Siddaramaiah Government Over MUDA Land Scam

Date:

Bengaluru, Karnataka – Karnataka Legislative Council Leader of Opposition (LoP) Chalavadi Narayanaswamy has criticized the Siddaramaiah-led government, accusing it of attempting to cover up the alleged MUDA land scam. Narayanaswamy questioned the government’s actions in surrendering 14 sites that were allegedly acquired illegally by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his family members.

“It’s a very good development,” Narayanaswamy said, referring to the political developments surrounding the issue. However, he expressed skepticism about the government’s intentions, stating, “This government is trying to nullify this MUDA scam because CM Siddaramaiah is in power.” He further questioned why the 14 sites were surrendered, suggesting that it was an acknowledgment of their illegal nature.

“Why have they surrendered those 14 sites? It’s because they know it is illegal,” Narayanaswamy added, pointing out the contradiction in the government’s actions. He also criticized the involvement of Siddaramaiah’s family in the alleged land acquisitions, stating, “When illegal activities are done by their own family, it raises serious concerns.”

The controversy continues to stir political debate, with the opposition accusing the ruling government of shielding corrupt practices, while the ruling party defends its position and actions.
