BJP Demands Justice for Koppal Youth’s Murder, Slams Congress Over Police Action

Date:

Bengaluru: Karnataka BJP chief BY Vijayendra on Friday strongly condemned the alleged murder of Koppal youth Gavisiddappa Nayaka and accused the Congress government of failing to ensure justice for the victim’s family.

Speaking to reporters, Vijayendra said that Gavisiddappa’s family has been demanding justice and support from the government. “BJP demanded the CM act immediately to give compensation of Rs 50 lakhs, a government job to a family member of the deceased, and an NIA investigation into the case,” he stated.

He further alleged that instead of addressing the family’s concerns, the local police registered a case against the victim’s family, which he termed as deeply unfortunate. Accusing the ruling Congress of exerting undue influence, Vijayendra claimed that a senior Congress leader was pressuring the family. “Congress should behave more responsibly,” he added.

While noting that the Koppal district has remained peaceful following the murder, Vijayendra cautioned that continuous instigation and mishandling by the ruling party could disturb the law-and-order situation. He urged the government to act swiftly, deliver justice, and prevent the situation from escalating.

The BJP has announced that it will stand firmly with the victim’s family until justice is served, demanding accountability from both the government and law enforcement agencies.
