PM Modi at ET World Leaders Forum 2025: India Poised to Drive Global Growth

Date:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the ET World Leaders Forum 2025 in Delhi, reaffirmed India’s growing role as a global economic engine, emphasizing that the country is equipped to lift the world out of a phase of sluggish growth.

Highlighting India’s governance philosophy, the Prime Minister said, “India, which follows the mantra of Reform, Perform, Transform, is today in a position to take the world out of slow growth rate. We are not the people who sit on the banks of stagnant water and throw pebbles. We are the people who can turn the fast-flowing stream.”

PM Modi underlined that India’s economic policies, structural reforms, and focus on innovation have ensured resilience even in the face of global uncertainties. The country, he noted, has emerged as a reliable partner in global supply chains, a hub for digital transformation, and a champion of sustainability.

He also stressed that India’s commitment to inclusive development ensures that economic progress is not confined to a few sectors but benefits millions across rural and urban areas alike. With major strides in infrastructure, renewable energy, and digital public goods, Modi said India is laying down the foundation for long-term growth.

The Prime Minister called upon world leaders and businesses to partner with India in this transformative journey, assuring that the nation’s democratic values and strong institutions provide a stable environment for global collaboration.

As the forum brought together top policymakers, corporate leaders, and economists, Modi’s remarks were seen as a reaffirmation of India’s ambition to be not just the fastest-growing major economy, but also a driver of global recovery and prosperity.
