Karnataka LoP Slams State Government Over Robbery Case, Law-and-Order Lapse and Political Uncertainty

Date:

Bengaluru, Karnataka: Leader of the Opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Council, Chalavadi Narayanaswamy, on Monday launched a sharp attack on the Congress government, citing a recent robbery and growing public dissatisfaction as evidence of administrative failure.

“Yesterday, there was a robbery in Bangalore of Rs 7 crore 11 lakh. In 2.5 years, the achievement of the government means robbery,” Narayanaswamy said, alleging that the administration has failed to track down those involved in the incident.

Criticising the state’s law-and-order situation, he added, “The law and order situation in Karnataka is totally worse. Farmers are against this government… There is a protest against the government.”

Narayanaswamy also targeted the Congress leadership over the long-pending Cabinet reshuffle, saying the delay reflects internal weakness and lack of authority. “In the name of a reshuffle, for the last year, they have been saying next week is the reshuffle… The high command is totally keeping quiet, which means the high command has no power,” he remarked.

The comments come as the political landscape in Karnataka remains tense, with the opposition intensifying its criticism on multiple fronts, including governance, farmer issues, and administrative instability.
