Narendra Modi Crosses 30 Million YouTube Subscribers, Becomes World’s Most Followed Political Leader on the Platform

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has achieved a major digital milestone by surpassing 30 million (3 crore) subscribers on his official YouTube channel. With this landmark achievement, he has emerged as the most followed political leader globally on YouTube, reinforcing his strong digital presence and global outreach.

Modi Leads Global Political YouTube Rankings

According to available data, PM Modi’s subscriber count places him far ahead of other world leaders on the platform. Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro ranks second with around 6.6 million subscribers — nearly one-fourth of Modi’s count.

PM Modi’s YouTube reach is also significantly higher than that of former U.S. President Donald Trump. Reports suggest that the Indian Prime Minister has more than seven times the subscriber base compared to Trump on the platform.

Significant Gap Within India

Domestically as well, PM Modi maintains a substantial lead in digital engagement. His YouTube subscriber base is reportedly nearly three times larger than that of Rahul Gandhi.

Additionally, the Prime Minister’s channel has over four times the subscribers of the official YouTube channels of the Indian National Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party, highlighting his dominant digital footprint in India’s political landscape.

Expanding Influence in Digital Communication

With over 30 million subscribers, PM Modi’s YouTube channel now stands as the most subscribed political channel globally. The achievement underscores his continued influence in digital communication and his ability to engage citizens directly through social media platforms.

The channel regularly features speeches, public addresses, policy announcements, international engagements, and special initiatives, contributing to consistent audience engagement.

Historic Instagram Milestone

This achievement comes shortly after PM Modi crossed 100 million followers on Instagram, making him the first world leader to reach this milestone. Since joining Instagram in 2014, he has built one of the most active and widely followed accounts among global leaders.

Currently, PM Modi leads all major world leaders in Instagram followers, reportedly having more than double the followers of Donald Trump on the platform. Notably, the combined follower count of several top global leaders is said to be lower than that of the Indian Prime Minister alone.

Strengthening India’s Digital Leadership

PM Modi’s growing social media presence reflects the increasing role of digital platforms in modern governance and public engagement. His record-breaking subscriber numbers on YouTube and Instagram highlight how political communication is evolving in the digital age, positioning India at the forefront of global digital outreach
