Bengaluru: In a bold move to tackle the city’s perennial traffic congestion, the Bengaluru Traffic Police has proposed a comprehensive infrastructure plan that could transform commuting across the city. Under the proposal, Bengaluru could see 35 new flyovers, 25 underpasses, and 101 skywalks, aimed at easing vehicular and pedestrian movement.
A Holistic Approach to Traffic Management
The ambitious plan focuses on redesigning major choke points, intersections, and pedestrian corridors. In addition to the large structures, the project includes thousands of smaller interventions such as improved road signage, upgraded pedestrian crossings, better drainage, and smarter traffic signal management.
