Film Festival on Calories and Nutrition Kicks Off in Bengaluru

Bengaluru | April 11, 2026: A unique ‘Calorie’-themed film festival has begun today at the Bengaluru Science Gallery, bringing together cinema, science, and public awareness on food, nutrition, and health.

The festival will showcase a curated selection of films and interactive sessions that explore themes such as diet, metabolism, food systems, and the science of nutrition. Organizers said the event aims to engage audiences in understanding how everyday food choices impact health and the environment.

Experts, filmmakers, and researchers are also expected to participate in panel discussions and workshops during the festival. The initiative is part of efforts to promote science communication through creative and accessible formats, encouraging public dialogue on health and sustainable living.

The festival is open to students, researchers, and the general public, and will run over the coming days at the Science Gallery in Bengaluru.
