Etihad Flight from Abu Dhabi Lands Safely in Bengaluru Amid Middle East Tensions

Amid the ongoing tensions in the Middle East, Etihad Airways flight EY-262 from Abu Dhabi landed safely at Kempegowda International Airport on Saturday.

Passengers arriving on the flight said that despite the regional conflict, the situation in the United Arab Emirates remains largely normal for now. However, some travellers expressed concerns that if the conflict continues for a long time, it could eventually impact Indian workers living in the region.

Situation in UAE Remains Relatively Stable

Passengers returning from Abu Dhabi said that conditions in the UAE appear relatively stable compared to some other Gulf countries, such as Kuwait and Bahrain.

According to travellers, daily activities and business operations are continuing normally in the UAE, and there have been no major disruptions so far.

Passengers Deny Viral Social Media Claims

One passenger dismissed reports circulating in some media outlets and on social media claiming attacks on major landmarks in Dubai.

The passenger said that claims of attacks on the Burj Khalifa or widespread damage in the city are completely false, urging people not to believe such rumours.

Advice to Trust Official Updates Only

Another passenger appealed to the public to avoid misinformation spreading on social media and rely only on official updates issued by authorities in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

According to the passenger, the governments in the UAE are regularly issuing updates about the situation, and there is currently no need for panic as conditions remain under control.

Work and Daily Life Continue Normally

A traveller named Tindu, who recently returned from Abu Dhabi, said that while there is some concern among residents due to the regional conflict, government support and coordination have helped maintain normal operations.

He added that work in sectors such as healthcare is continuing normally, and people are carrying on with their daily routines despite the ongoing tensions in the region.
