Bengaluru, Karnataka — Union Minister Pralhad Joshi on Monday emphasized the impact and reach of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) Yojana, claiming that the Modi government has transferred ₹3.70 lakh crore directly into the bank accounts of farmers across the country.
Speaking to the media, Joshi stated, “Under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Samman Yojana, we have deposited ₹3.70 lakh crore directly into farmers’ accounts. Around 25 crore people have benefited from this initiative.”
He hailed the Modi government as “decisive and trusted”, saying it has moved forward in every sector with firm intent and popular support. “We have also received the trust of the people,” he added, underscoring the Centre’s commitment to farmers’ welfare and direct benefit transfers.
The PM-Kisan scheme, launched in 2019, provides financial support of ₹6,000 per year in three installments to eligible farmer families.
