Karnataka BJP Leader Warns Congress: “Every Hindu Will Teach You a Lesson”

Date:

BJP leader and Karnataka Leader of the Opposition R Ashoka has intensified the political rhetoric surrounding Congress Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao’s recent comments on Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. In a statement that has sparked controversy, Ashoka accused the Congress party of consistently undermining Hindu sentiments and discrediting freedom fighters like Savarkar.

“From Delhi to Karnataka, the Congress party has decided to threaten Hindus and their gods,” Ashoka asserted. He emphasized Savarkar’s legacy as a freedom fighter, pointing out that Savarkar endured imprisonment in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands for his role in India’s struggle for independence.

Ashoka went on to question Congress’s approach, saying, “I would like to ask Congress—why do you always threaten Hindus and not Muslims?” He underscored his belief that the party’s tactics have backfired in previous elections, suggesting that the electorate has responded negatively to what he termed as divisive rhetoric.

He warned that Karnataka would respond decisively in future elections, declaring, “Karnataka will teach you a lesson, and every Hindu will teach you a lesson.”

The exchange has highlighted the growing tensions between the BJP and Congress in Karnataka, with both parties positioning themselves as protectors of their respective constituencies. As the political landscape heats up, reactions from Congress are anticipated, particularly in light of the upcoming electoral battles.
