BJP Leader R Ashok Criticizes Karnataka Government Over Law and Order, Farmers’ Issues

Date:

Karnataka Assembly Leader of Opposition (LoP) and BJP leader R Ashok has slammed the Congress-led state government over law and order, farmer distress, and microfinance-related deaths.

Referring to a recent attack on police officers in Mysuru, Ashok expressed concerns over the deteriorating security situation. “Attacks on police officers are taking place—I have seen the Mysuru incident,” he stated.

He also criticized the government’s handling of microfinance-related issues, pointing out that despite an ordinance being implemented, two more deaths were reported in Mandya. “The government has implemented an ordinance on microfinance, yet two more deaths have occurred in Mandya,” he added.

Highlighting alleged injustice to Kannadigas in KPSC (Karnataka Public Service Commission), Ashok said that the recruitment process was unfair to local candidates.

Furthermore, he contrasted the current administration’s policies with the previous H. D. Kumaraswamy government, which had announced loan waivers for farmers. “When H. D. Kumaraswamy was Chief Minister, he waived farmers’ loans. Since this government took over, farmers have been facing injustice,” he said.

Ashok assured that the BJP would continue to fight against the Congress government, calling it “anti-people.”
