Jharkhand’s Infiltration Crisis: A Call to Protect Tribal Heritage

Date:

In a recent public gathering in Dumka, Jharkhand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi brought to light a growing concern – the issue of infiltration. He stressed that this problem is particularly severe in the Santhal Pargana region, where the tribal population is experiencing a rapid decline.

The Rising Infiltration Issue

The Prime Minister emphasized that the number of infiltrators in many areas of Jharkhand is increasing. He stated, “A significant crisis is looming over Jharkhand, and that is infiltration. The Santhal Parganas is grappling with the challenge of infiltration. In many areas, the tribal population is rapidly declining, and the number of infiltrators is on the rise.”

Threat to Tribal Lands and Culture

The Prime Minister expressed his concern that infiltrators are encroaching on tribal lands. He questioned, “Are the tribal lands being taken over by infiltrators or not?” This situation poses a serious threat to the tribal culture and heritage, which are deeply rooted in their lands.

Safety of Tribal Women

The safety and lives of tribal women are also at risk due to the increasing number of infiltrators. The Prime Minister stated, “Tribal daughters are the target of infiltrators. Their security and safety are at risk.”

Government’s Role

The Prime Minister accused the JMM-led ruling alliance in Jharkhand of “patronising” infiltrators. He alleged that the government is supporting such perpetrators, thereby endangering the tribal population.

Conclusion

The infiltration crisis in Jharkhand is a pressing issue that needs immediate attention. The rapid decrease in the tribal population and the increasing number of infiltrators pose a significant threat to tribal lands, culture, and the safety of tribal women. It is crucial for the government and society to take necessary measures to address this crisis and protect the rights and interests of the tribal population.
