PM Modi to Flag Off 3 Vande Bharat Trains, Inaugurate Bengaluru Metro Projects on August 10

Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a visit to Karnataka on August 10, with a packed schedule focused on enhancing rail and metro connectivity in Bengaluru.

At around 11 AM, PM Modi will flag off three Vande Bharat Express trains from the KSR Railway Station in Bengaluru, marking a significant boost to the region’s high-speed rail network. Following this, he will inaugurate the Yellow Line of the Bangalore Metro and undertake a metro ride from RV Road (Ragigudda) to Electronic City metro station, showcasing the city’s expanding urban transit infrastructure.

Later, at approximately 1 PM, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for a series of urban connectivity projects in Bengaluru. Among the key announcements will be the foundation stone laying for the ambitious Bangalore Metro Phase-3 project, worth over ₹15,610 crore, aimed at easing congestion and improving mobility across the city.

During his visit, PM Modi will also address a public function, highlighting the central government’s commitment to infrastructure development and urban transformation in Karnataka’s capital. The initiatives are expected to significantly improve travel efficiency, reduce traffic bottlenecks, and support Bengaluru’s growth as a major economic hub.

The visit underscores the government’s continued investment in modernising urban transport, with the Vande Bharat Express trains and metro expansions forming part of a broader push for integrated, sustainable mobility solutions.
