Bengaluru, 14 April 2026: Indian Railways is set to introduce a sleeper version of the Vande Bharat Express on the high-demand Bengaluru–Mumbai route, aiming to make long-distance travel faster and more comfortable.
The upcoming train is expected to reduce journey time to approximately 15–17 hours, offering a significant improvement over existing services. Designed for overnight travel, it will feature fully air-conditioned sleeper coaches along with modern amenities for enhanced passenger comfort.
The train is likely to run via key stations such as Pune, Solapur, and Guntakal, strengthening regional connectivity. Although the project has received official approval, details regarding the launch date, ticket pricing, and complete schedule are still awaited, with operations expected to begin later in 2026.
